HP Indigo 5500 Digital Press

The purchase of the Indigo was the culmination of a year long search to find a digital device able to produce short run quantities on a wide variety of papers and boards and provide a quality level closest to the litho standard that Compass Print are renowned for.

The high end “litho” quality digital print produced on our state of the art 6 colour Indigo press enables us to specialise in short run data sheets, brochures, flyers, safety material and targeted personalised marketing material.

The Indigo provides both existing and new customers the opportunity to literally order, for example, one copy of a full colour brochure! Also, the enhanced colour quality achieved through digitally printing six colours means a greater number of corporate colours are attainable accurately, thus creating more opportunities and greater flexibility.

Personalisation is also a key feature of the Indigo for developing the ‘ultimate marketing campaign’ where brochures, leaflets, invites, menus, posters, flyers, name cards, etc can all be personalised to clients customer data base.

The HP Indigo 5500 Press is a sheet-fed digital offset press incorporating liquid ink technology and high speed electronic imaging to produce high quality, full colour print jobs. The Digital colour process, combined with the fine pigmentation and chemical properties of Electronic, produces colours which are more vivid and subtle than those achieved by toner based machines.

This Press is primarily suited to short to medium length, litho quality, print runs. Time and versatility are premium commodities and Indigo’s Digital Offset Colour technology provides a unique mix of digital printing services including: proofing and print on-demand on a wide range of paper weights and textures, up to a maximum sheet size of SRA3.

Company newsletters, interim reports, sales and marketing material, conference packs, property particulars, invitations, menus etc are all easily achieved on the versatile indigo press.

All methods of print finishing associated with conventional litho printing are provided as part of our Indigo service such as: cutting, creasing, folding, wire-o-binding, saddle stitching, collating, laminating, embossing, foil blocking, forme cutting etc.
